Cuenca Perspectives by Jim – Jim experienced another encounter with strangers that got him to thinking about how “the most ordinary can be extraordinary when consciously lived.”
Finding our Paradise in Ecuador – Saturday’s full moon at perigee (dubbed supermoon because the crest of the moon’s full phase comes within an hour of the moon’s closest point to Earth) caused extreme high tides and wrecked havoc with the beach activities on Bahía San Lorenzo.
Gringos Abroad – The trip to Quito had to include a ride up the El TelefériQo cable car for a spectacular view of the city. The family paid local prices because they brought their resident ID. Bryan noticed that bikes were allowed in the gondola and there was a kamikaze trail ride down to the bottom.
La Vida Local – After the usual socializing at Tuesday’s gringo gathering at Di Bacco Restaurante the evening turned into a “Gringo Bingo” fundraiser for CEBA’s latest project to benefit seven-year-old Mateo and his family.
Life in Quito – When Liliya first started to write her daily blog it was to promote their apartment rental and walking tours of the Centro Historico in Quito. Now when she looks at her visitor stats she sees that she has attracted readers from all over the globe.

Thank you Mary and Steve for including our blog in your blogroll and daily update. When you come to Quito – a free tour is on us.
Liliya & Leo
We will definately take you up on the offer. Thanks, Mary & Steve
