Cynthia Goes to Ecuador – Cynthia joined a group on a shopping expedition to Quito. They stopped at a mercado with rows and rows of produce, meat, flowers, and local products. Then it was off to the big four story mall.
Finding our Paradise in Ecuador – Their neighbor Keith just had to brag; look at the size of these lobsters, up to four pounds a piece with no claws and mostly tail.

Nancy and Chuck – Chuck was on a mission to find some more plants so the Watsons took off to Paute to check out the nurseries there. They stopped at Corvel for a relaxing lunch. Chuck drove the back roads home.
Rich and Nancy – The end of construction is almost in sight for the big roundabout/underpass project. Rich and Nancy report that traffic will be allowed starting on Monday and Correa will be there to dedicate it during Cuenca’s Independence celebrations.
EXPAT INFO – Some exciting things are happening in the Beckman household. We are in the process of moving to Cuenca with Steve’s brother Dave. Dave suffered a traumatic brain injury in 1985 and is permanently disabled. Steve has been his conservator for over fifteen years. Before we are allowed to leave the Country with him we must plead our case in the probate court. We are lucky to have found a space for him at Años Dorados, an assisted living center (that should help convince the judge.) Now we have to research his medical and dental options. According to Cuenca High Life, the quality of medical care is excellent; costs are among the lowest in the world. And dental tourism is a growth industry.
