Ecuador Adventures – Jim describes the Pase del Nino Viajero as “a sort of optical inebriation that occurs that makes you glad you are alive to witness it.” He and Rachel became separated in the sea of humanity. He later found his lost bride still clinging to her scarlet Mongoose.
Finding our Paradise in Ecuador – Nan gathers up a bunch of stray photos and gives us a little mini tour of sights around Salinas.
Flight Crews Move to Ecuador – You really have to hand it to Jim and Silene, when the Reeds say they’ll be in Cuenca for Christmas they mean it, even if they have to grab the last two seats out of Houston to do it.
The Gaithers Love Ecuador – Gary and Sue get familiar with their new home, finding where to buy things and making new friends. They attended a couple of events for Norte Americanos and just happen to be in Cuenca for the Christmas Eve parade.
Gringos Abroad – Dena’s been sipping from the silly punch again. Here are five more cheeky reasons to travel abroad.
Nancy and Chuck – Prepare for your heart to grow three sizes. Nancy’s photos of children at the Christmas Eve parade is a miracle cure for any lingering grinchiness.
Just came across your website today and was moved by the pictures/captions of the orphanage outside Cuenca that was on Jim and Rachel’s blogspot. How do I locate either of the two ladies who are the caretakers of these children. My wife and I are from the USA, retiring in 2011 and thinking about moving to Ecuador. We are looking for a ministry to support there. Currently we are associated with the Louisiana Baptist Childrens Home in Monroe, Louisiana, USA. We want to do what we can to help these children and caretakers.
Thanks.
