The Hearts of Gold Foundation is a team of expat and Ecuadorian volunteers residing in Cuenca. Their goal is to provide tools, education and resources necessary to help break the cycle of poverty for communities and families alike.

Next month the group will hold their First Annual Barn Dance Fundraiser to raise money for their many worthwhile projects serving the disadvantaged in Ecuador. The event will take place on July 5th from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at Hosteria Caballo Campana. Adult tickets are $25 and kids 12 and under get in for $10. The ticket price includes a BBQ buffet, soda and water, transportation from Parque de la Madre to the Hosteria, and horseback rides for children and adults. There will be live music (provided by Brian Gary), a large dance floor, a cash bar, a magic show, and a fireworks show taking place throughout the evening.
