Bob & Rox – After so many email inquiries about purchasing property in Ecuador, Bob wants to remind all their readers that there are “sharks” out there. There are no rules here governing real estate professionals.
Ecuador Adventures – Rachel takes over the writing and tells us of her recent travel experiences. Her suspicious good looks make security think she’s the next Mata Hari. The tourist visa is expired and she has no Cendula, will she make it back to her beloved Jim?
Gringos Abroad – The Haines want their site to become the best expert advice on Cuenca, so they want to know if we have any questions. If they don’t know the answer they will find it.
Jill Sare’s TravelBlog – Jill’s new year is off to a great start. She’s used Baños as a base staying at her friend Shana’s playing hours of Scrabble. Her work as tour guide/interpreter takes her into the jungle. She spent some time in Cuenca and Quito; she was hired to evaluate the TESOL Certificate Training course for English teachers. Our busy nomad next plans a trip to the Galapagos for her birthday.
Life at Latitude Zero – Patricia was worried about finding her comfort foods so she stocked up on tea and dark chocolate while in Quito. What she failed to realize while entertaining her fears is all the great produce that’s available in the markets.
Nancy and Chuck – The Watsons have experienced a major milestone. They have officially been residents in Ecuador for two years (now they can travel even more.) Nancy reflects back on all the changes in Cuenca since they first visited as tourists in 2007.
In the Plane of the Ecliptic – Glen takes the gringo tour of the Ingapirca Ruins. He felt a bit off so he wondered alone marveling at the stonework. After a bus ride in the mist he now knows why there are so many accident reports with a bus in the ravine.
Rich and Nancy – If only there was smell-o-vision on the Internet, we could enjoy Rich and Nancy’s photos even more. Their Sunday walk along the river was very peaceful this week as the roads were closed to traffic for a race in progress.
